new project idea
Now that English 10600 is over for all of us and we completed our projects, I was curious how would all of you felt if there was a group project assigned somewhere in the semester? I felt this was one of the missing elements to this English class. I think its important for every class to incorporate some group project because most of us will be going into organizations were teamwork is vital to everyday business. Maybe for the final project, split it up into groups and make the requirements somewhat larger. This was just an idea or an afterthought after finishing this English class. Shoot me some opinions!
Website/Blog
I found that having this blog for class was by far one of the best ideas. I wish my other classes would make blogs/websites where we could share our opinions, ideas, and resources with others. I found myself checking this site constantly to see what was due, what everyone else was doing, and how others felt on certain topics. I am really hoping that other instructors/professors that I have in the future implement a blog for discussions and Blackboard chat doesn’t count. (found it yesterday, seriously who uses that?) What do you all think about our class blog, nuinsance or useful?
Now that the class is over.
Now that English 10600 is over, I was wondering how did you feel about the two books that we had to purchase for the class? I really found Good Reasons to be useful when working on all four of my projects, specially when starting the project off and formulating ideas. As for the Brief Penguin handbook, I accidently bought the larger size book which costed me 64 dollars.. unfortunately I didn’t find it to be too useful. I found myself using Purdues online resources a lot more when it came to citations and formatting work cited pages. What did you all think?
Examples of what not
I found that the examples of what not to do when creating a web page was not only funny but presented a valid point to website design. Even though we didn’t have much time to put into project 4, I still found looking at those bad examples taught me what to stray away from. When designing my website I tried my best to make it visually appearing which seemed to be a problem with a lot of those bad examples. Overall, I found looking at bad examples to be a big help when it came to creating my own project.
My Proposal
Now that I finished up project 4 and submitted, I felt like letting you all know that your welcome to check out my website and/or join itself yours. I created it on wordpress so you can access it easily by just requesting. Feel free to share any ideas that you may have about it as well.

Overall
Overall, I was curious what project did you enjoy doing the most? I personally found the 1st and the last project to be my favorites out of the four that we had to do for English 10600. I like more of the multi-media approach when configuring and expressing ideas than the usual essay format. I also liked the option to input visuals into my work and project one and four allowed to me to do so. Anyway, what did all of you enjoy doing the most and why?
My final project
I am very proud of my final project. There are a lot I wish I would have done different, and I wish I would have been more organized from the start. Anyways, I’m happy with the turnout of my website.

That is the link to my site. Check it out and I would love to hear some feedback.
Another thing…I ran into my art teacher from high school last night who actually got me into graffiti. I thought that was very interesting. I gave him the link to my website as well and told him to check it out.
Have a great summer…
