Chapter 8′s Formula and Comic

The figure from Chapter 8 which we went over in class ( page 114 ) is very helpful in trying to figure out a first-hand or basic formula when beginning to brainstorm for the definition paper. I also think that the comic at the end ( pages 122-128 ) is a cute and wonderful visual example of a definition paper. Compared to the student example after the comic– which is another good example to have– you can see where the book is trying to describe how to put together a definition argument.
